Roy Keane cleared the air. Manchester United Captain Bruno Fernandes had an “interesting chat” with the pair after he misquoted the Portuguese – leading Fernandes to accuse him of being a liar.
Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Keane also claimed that Fernandes prioritizes individual accolades over team success.

“There was a reaction after we talked about it on the podcast a few weeks ago and he approached me and wanted a conversation — I called him and we had a good conversation,” Keane said.
“It was great because when we do podcasts or games, sometimes you say something later and when you broadcast something and it doesn’t really connect, people get upset and he said he wanted to talk to me. We had a nice, mature conversation.
“I like to have boundaries with players, I don’t want to talk to players or their agents every few weeks, I don’t want to go that way, but every now and then a player can arrive, so I think it’s important to talk to him.
“A lot has been done and a lot has been said. He’s obviously a big player for United, I’m an ex-United player and I think he really likes the idea of this relationship and a proper discussion. Hopefully he’s done the same. A good discussion about everything and I feel good afterwards.”
