MUNICH, GERMANY—Audi has recently launched a new SUV. In the last 18 months, it has released new products electricity Q6 and instead of in the middle Q5and later this summer we will see and q9a very large naviathan with an Escalade in its place. But today it’s time for the new version of the Q7, and only North America-SQ7, all of which are on sale at the end of this year in 2027.
The standard Q7 will come to the US with a twin-turbo 2.9 L V6 that produces 429 hp (320 kW) and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm). Meanwhile, the SQ7 borrows a 591 hp (441 kW), 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) V8 as found under the hood of and RS7. But no hybrid plug-in version has been installed as far as we know.
Both models use an 8-speed automatic transmission (ZF’s most powerful 8HP) and all-wheel drive. Audi says these are the fastest Q7s and SQ7s they’ve ever built, and they say they should drive the best, too. Standard Q7s can ride on steel springs or they can opt for the standard air suspension on the SQ7 – this gets a third option that lowers the car by more than 30 mm.
The new Q7 body has more curves and more visible creases than before.

The D pillar is taller than before.

The US gets a stronger SQ7, probably because of our less stringent regulations.

Last month we wrote about digital LED headlights that Audi finally got permission to use on US roads with the Q9. Since the Q9 and Q7 share a lot, the same 25,600-pixel lights are also placed in three small rows, as are the OLED backlights that can display sharp images. US-spec Q7s, however, only do this when stopped, unlike in Europe where the unit can alert other road users while driving.
However, the US-spec Q7s get something new to highlight. If it has turn signals, the car can also make turn signals on the road at night (as we can see in the picture) to better warn other pedestrians and cyclists.
