Chris Billam-Smith will take on Bournemouth’s Ryan Rosicky in the first Zuffa show


Former world cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith will headline Zuffa Boxing’s first show in the UK.

‘The Gentleman’ will face Canadian Ryan Rosicky at the Bournemouth International Center (BIC) on June 6.

This will be Billam-Smith’s first fight in over a year He defeated American Brandon Glanton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 35-year-old from Dorset has previously fought in the BIC three times and Won a world title 2023 at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth.

Billam-Smith Dana White signed a multi-fight deal with Zuffa Boxing After being promoted by Ben Shalom’s Boxer earlier this month.

“I’m very happy, not only to be back boxing after over a year, but to be back home,” Billam-Smith told BBC Sport.

“This is Zuffa’s first show in the UK and it will be good to set the standard for UK shows and show them what the atmosphere is like here.

“They’ll be amazed at the amount of noise the Arena can make. The atmosphere I got into the sport and being on the ground in that noise is an honor and I’m grateful to my supporters.”

“He’s a dangerous fighter and I’ve known about him for a few years,” added Billam-Smith.

“His record speaks for itself; he’s a huge and dangerous puncher with power in both hands, he’s also an unknown quantity and it’s a dangerous fight.

“But this is the fight I want now and at this stage of my career. I have to be 100% on.”
