Marshall’s Stockwell speaker gets a replaceable battery that runs twice as long

Marshall has announced a new range of Stockwell Bluetooth speakers, putting a new focus on innovation. The Stockwell III, the first iteration of this model from early 2019it has the same design as its predecessor with a large carrying handle and speakers that pump sound from all sides, not just the front like the Marshall amps that inspired it. It will be available for purchase from August 4 through the company’s online store and Costco for $249.99.

Battery life has been increased from 20 to 40 hours on the Stockwell III, but the overall life of the speaker has been extended even further. This upgraded battery is now replaceable – a feature that Marshall pioneered Mid ANC wireless headphones last month that we can thank new EU regulations about. The renovation also extends to other areas on Stockwell III. You can also customize its velvet-lined carrying strap, front and rear grills with the Marshall logo, and leatherette silicone sleeves wrapped around the entire speaker to protect it. This method not only extends the life of the product, but it can also improve resale by helping to make it look new.

The upgraded battery can also be used as a power bank to charge other devices via USB-C, while the waterproof rating of the speaker has been changed from IPX4 to IP55 so it is also suitable for surviving explosions and preventing dust from entering. Pause, play, or skip music.
