Dumfries have confirmed a move to Real Madrid

Inter Milan right back Denzel Dumfries spoke about his move to Real Madrid next season, responding to his former club V.V. Smichuk took to Instagram to indirectly confirm the deal, which remained confidential despite club president Florentino Perez announcing it internally.

Spanish media reports that Real Madrid will pay Inter Milan around 20 million euros for the 30-year-old Dutch full-back, Perez’s third signing this summer after signing Jose Mourinho and Ibrahima Konate.

VV Smichuk, where Dumfries trained as a child, posted an emotional congratulatory message on his official Instagram page, saying:

The note did not go unnoticed by Dumfries, who commented with a simple but firm expression: “Thank you very much,” clearly confirming his move to the Spanish capital next season.

While Real Madrid have not officially announced any of the three deals, according to sources close to the Royals board, the signings have already taken place.
