Yurisich: Ramadan Sobhi shook me up… and this is my stance on Al-Ahli training

The former coach of Pyramids, Croat Kronoslav Juricic, spoke about the scenes of his departure from the team. He also revealed his opinion on the recent Ramadan Sobhi crisis and decided his stance on rumors linking him with coaching Al-Ahly.

Juricic said in televised statements that the decision to suspend Ramadan Sobhi came as a shock to him, noting that the player had great talent but had committed some actions that he described as irresponsible.

Sobhi was convicted of forgery by Egyptian justice, in addition to being convicted of doping at the sporting level.

He added: “I had a good relationship with Ramadan Sobhi, but he behaved irresponsibly and these actions could have been the reason for the decisions taken against him.”

Regarding his departure from Pyramids, the Croatian coach explained that the decision was not easy, stressing that he feels proud of what he has achieved in the past period with the club.

“I see that my journey with Pyramids has come to an end. I am proud of what we have achieved together and now I want to take on a new challenge. “Working in Egypt was special, but being away from my family for a long time forced the decision.”

Jurisic noted that Pyramids management tried to keep him and made renewal offers, but the issue was not just about financial or contractual aspects, but rather his desire to go through a different experience at the next stage.

He also denied any disagreements with team captain Ali Gabri, stressing that his relationship with all the players is very good and that the Pyramids captain has played an important role in helping the technical staff in the past period.

Jurisic said about the possibility of coaching “Al-Ahly”. “I have not spoken with anyone from the management of Al-Ahly and there have been no negotiations. “Al-Ahly is a big club and has big ambitions to win championships, but this question is not in my mind right now.”

The Croatian coach concluded his remarks by stressing that he is looking for a new project with a club that has ambitions to challenge for titles after a successful career at the Pyramids that saw several domestic and continental championships crowned.
