A new shock
Denmark star Christian Eriksen has announced that he has been released from hospital and has successfully overcome the health crisis he suffered, confirming that he is recovering well at home with his family.
Eriksen fainted for the second time in his career during his country’s friendly match against UkraineYesterday, Sunday, due to the incident, the confrontation was stopped and not finished.
The former Manchester United midfielder briefly lost consciousness, raising concerns about the 34-year-old’s health, especially as he previously suffered a heart attack while playing for his country’s national team in 2021 and underwent surgery to implant a pacemaker, allowing him to continue his professional career.
Eriksen released an official statement on his personal Instagram page to reassure fans, saying: “I want everyone to know that I’m fine and that I’m home with my family right now.”
The Danish star added: “As you can imagine, the shock from the pacemaker has had a huge impact on me and my family, but I want to reassure everyone that this situation is very different from what happened in 2021. I am in good shape and the recovery process has already started.”
He continued. “In addition to my gratitude and support for all the players on the field and the support provided by the medical staff, I am also very grateful to the doctors who have taken care of me and my heart over the years.”
“Thanks to their expertise, my pacemaker did exactly what it was supposed to do, protect me when I needed it,” Eriksen concluded. “Right now my focus is on recovery, spending time with my family, going on vacation and playing soccer with my kids.”
