Brazilian goalkeeper Pinto Mateus has come under suspicion at Al-Nasr amid growing questions over his future ahead of the start of the summer transfer window, amid a managerial push to make a change in the goalkeeper position.
Saudi Al-Youm newspaper, citing club sources, revealed that Al-Nasri management is seriously considering giving up Pinto in the near future, given the sports body’s desire to sign a new goalkeeper who matches the team’s ambitions next season.
Pinto was one of the key elements in Al-Nasr’s Roshan League title-winning side last season after performing at remarkable levels and keeping clean sheets in several crucial matches.
Brazilian Pinto also completed his one-and-a-half-year contract with the Saudi Arabian side in the AFC semi-final against Al Ahli of the Emirates, where he scored his first penalty for Al-Alami since joining them in the 2024 summer transfer window from Brazilian side Atlético Paranaense.
