Morocco coach Jamal Salami, coach of Jordan’s national team, confirmed that his side made major technical gains from their friendly against Colombia, despite dropping two clean sheets in the pre-final test in preparation for the 2026 World Cup.

The match took place in the early hours of Monday morning at the San Diego Stadium in the United States of America as the final stage of preparations before the start of Jordan’s historic first World Cup campaign.

An important test against a strong opponent

After the end of the game, Salami said in the statements reported by the Jordanian news agency. “We faced a top team and were able to test many technical and tactical aspects during the game.”

He added: “The technical staff is currently working to correct the errors that appeared in the performance, so that the level of the team is developed and it reaches full fitness before the opening game against Austria.”

The specter of injuries
