3 standards and a fierce fight.. Who deserves to be the champion of Spain in the World Cup?

Spain will be looking to add a second star to their shirt at the 2026 World Cup, which begins next Thursday in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

It is now 16 years since La Roja beat the Netherlands to win the 2010 World Cup, but they now travel as European champions.

In light of the uncertainty surrounding Spain’s squad due to the quality of players available, Squawka Network posed the important question. Who will start as goalkeeper?

David Ryan (Arsenal), Juan Garcia (Barcelona) and Unai Simeone (Athletic Bilbao) are the options on coach De Lafuente’s shortlist, and the stats network used its criteria to decide who would be the best of the trio to put their name in La Roja’s den.

To decide who is Spain’s best goalkeeper, I used three criteria: shot blocking, passing skills and penalty kicks and penalty kicks.
