Michael van Gerwen came from behind to defeat Luke Humphries in the final and claim the Nordic Darts Masters title in Denmark.
Van Gerwen was the top seed at the event in Copenhagen and reached the final by defeating Viktor Tingstrom (6–5) in the quarterfinals and Jonny Clayton (7–4) in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, Humphries has had his latest revenge Defeat to Luke Littler in the Premier League final 105 match average by defeating the world champion 7-5 in the semi-finals.
This included a 132 finish, where the Englishman hit the bullseye twice before landing a double 16.
The final then proved to be another high-quality contest, with Dutchman van Gerwen winning his 18th PDC World Series title and second in 2026 8–7.
World number two Humphries went 3-1 up before van Gerwen, currently ranked fourth in the world, hit four legs to take the lead.
The former world champions traded throws off the break as the match went into the decider, with Humphries missing the bullseye for the win.
Van Gerwen then stepped up to finish in double top 72 and become the first player to win the event twice since its inception in 2021.
“I think Luke let me get away with it because he had a chance to be 4-1 up,” van Gerwen said. “Then you try to take advantage and luckily I did.
“It’s always good to get a win behind your name again. It gives confidence and a good feeling because I wasn’t performing well in the early rounds.
“But more importantly how I was able to keep grafting. That’s what won me today and I’m really pleased with that.”
The World Series continues with the US Darts Masters at Madison Square Garden in New York on June 25-27.
