Moroccan Nasser Large announced his resignation from the position of technical director of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation after 4 years of experience.

“After 4 years, I have decided to resign from the position of National Technical Director of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. I leave this position with great pride and gratitude.”

He added: “Since May 2022, it has been an honor to serve a nation spearheaded by Vision 2030, a country that will make history by hosting 48 teams at the 2034 World Cup finals.”

“I express my thanks to His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Saudi Arabian Football Federation President Yasser Al-Mashal and all officials of the federation for their trust and continued support.”

Regarding the result of his work, Large said: “Together, developing grassroots football, training coaches and working with the men’s and women’s national teams, we managed to build solid foundations for the future.”

He added: “The results speak for themselves. 3 teams have qualified for the World Cup finals in one season, winning 11 titles since 2022, in addition to the return of the Under-17 team to the World Cup after a 35-year absence.”

The Moroccan official concluded by saying: “Thank you to this great country (Saudi Arabia) for this experience that will remain forever in our memory.”
