Belgium suffer the heaviest defeat in Tunisia in more than half a century

The Tunisian national team suffered a brutal defeat against the Belgian hosts (5-0) in a friendly match that brought them together today, Saturday, at the King Baudouin Stadium in preparation for the 2026 World Cup finals.

This is the heaviest loss for the Tunisian national team since February 4, 1973, when they also lost to Yugoslavia (5-0).

Tunisia are currently preparing for the 2026 World Cup as part of a group that also includes the Netherlands, Sweden and Japan, while Belgium will play Egypt, New Zealand and Iran in the first round.
