The Ballon d’Or winner is suddenly on Al-Zaim’s radar.
International press reports have revealed Saudi club Al Hilal’s official bid to sign French winger Ousmane Dembele, a winger from Paris Saint-Germain, in a move that could change the features of the summer Mercato.
Saudi newspaper Al-Youm have confirmed, citing the Goals Zone network, that Al-Hilal have entered direct talks to sign Dembele next summer as part of a plan to bolster their front line in a blockbuster deal.
The move does not appear to be separate from the departures file, as the paper quoted sources close to Al-Zaim as saying that Brazilian Malcolm Phillippe is clearly open to leaving in the coming period, opening the door to a replacement with an international name.
Al-Hilal had an exceptional season in terms of numbers, but it ended in the bitterness of a runner-up finish, as Al-Zaim entered the Roshen League 2025-2026 with the slogan “Recovery” after a zero season in 2024-2025, and under coach Simone Inzaghi, it did not lose any solid team that did not lose any solid version.
Sources say that Al Hilal have put a huge offer on the table for Frenchman Ousmane Dembele, which is outside the usual financial logic in Europe – a salary of up to 200 million euros, a long-term contract until the summer of 2030.
The club does not see the deal as a mere offensive reinforcement, but as a flagship project for the next round. The leader’s management sees Dembele as a key player who can make a difference in the tournament that has become a declared target, the Club World Cup, benefiting from his pace and European experience to guide the new generation of Inzaghi.

Al Hilal’s management, at the direct suggestion of coach Simone Inzaghi, are looking for more than one quality signing this summer, while Ballon d’Or winner Dembele tops the list in a project aimed at returning the striker to the forefront of continental competition with greater strength.
