The future of “Real” awaits a decision
Real Madrid’s presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme’s campaign has revealed the details of his technical blueprint for next season as he puts German coach Jurgen Klopp as his first choice to lead the team.
The Alicante businessman confirmed he had not spoken to Klopp personally, but explained that prominent members of his campaign, led by Fernando Hierro and Raul Gonzalez, had opened lines of communication to try to convince the former Liverpool boss to take the job.
Klopp’s name being linked with Real Madrid is nothing new, with Florentino Perez himself trying to sign him next season and being rebuffed, a scenario that is now being repeated with Riquelme clinging to the German as the cornerstone of his selection project.
On the other hand, according to the Spanish newspaper OK Diario, Riquelme has provided an alternative plan with the final agreement with the “Arsenal” coach Mikel Arteta, in the event that the presidency of “Real” is decided in his favor.
The Spanish newspaper clarified that the agreement was signed between Champions League finalists Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, and foresees that the Spaniard will take over as Real Madrid’s head coach if Riquelme wins the election.

The same source stated that Arteta’s agreement will be suspended under one condition: Klopp’s approval. If the German accepts Riquelme’s offer, the Basque coach’s agreement will automatically collapse, and Klopp will become the coach of the Santiago Bernabeu in the next phase.
