Monaco Grand Prix: Charles Leclerc leads Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari one-two in first practice.

Charles Leclerc leads Lewis Hamilton to a Ferrari one-two as Issac Hadjar collides with Red Bull in first practice for the Monaco Grand Prix.

Leclerc was 0.226s quicker than Hamilton, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen 0.513s back in third, ahead of the Mercedes of Kim Antonelli and George Russell.

Hadjar lost control on the entry to the second pool chicane, rear-ended on the entry and spun into the barrier on the exit.

And Fernando Alonso saved a potential high-speed crash at the Port Front chicane in his Aston Martin.

The rear flew sideways as the braking point initially passed the crane, and as he corrected, the car whistled and sent the front into the barriers.
