Billam-Smith vs Rosicky: Who are Zuffa Boxing and can they shake up the sport?

Away from the ring, Zuffa has held a fair amount of back and forth between White and Hearn in the matchroom since boxing took place First card in January.

The heated online rant even suggested the two jokingly fight in separate interviews.

An online rivalry has also developed between the two with some moves within their respective sports arena businesses.

After signing Benn and Opetaya from the White Hern stable, the Briton responded by signing UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall to his newly formed talent agency.

Hearn even recently called for White Released Aspinall from his UFC contract After saying the heavyweight champion is not paying his price.

Billam-Smith was previously signed to Hearn’s stable, but moved to Boxer and finally fulfilled his dream of fighting in Bournemouth for the first time in 2022.

He competed three more times in his hometown and moved on Win the WBO world title 2023 at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium.

“Eddie never had the vision of us fighting here which is what we’ve always wanted to do, Dana is now doing it on the back of previous shows,” said Billam-Smith.

Many have tried to compete with Frank Warren and Hearn over the years, but few have enjoyed the same kind of long-term success that they have enjoyed.

White, however, has a history of entering a sport and rising to the top — taking the UFC from obscurity to market leader and eventually buying rival promotions Strikeforce and Pride.

Saturday is Zuffa Boxing’s moment to plant its flag on these shores, as White tries to establish the promotion as one of the main players in British boxing.
