F1 to race in Las Vegas until at least 2037 after 10-year contract extension | F1 News

Las Vegas will continue to host a Formula One Grand Prix until at least 2037 after agreeing to a 10-year contract extension.

The floodlit night circuit, which features races in excess of 200mph along Nevada City’s famous strip, hosted its first race in 2023.

It is one of three U.S. rounds of the calendar that have been contracted until Austin, Texas, in 2034 and Miami in 2041.

“We are thrilled that Formula One will continue to race in Las Vegas for many years to come,” Stefano Domenicali, chief executive of Liberty Media-owned sports, said in a statement ahead of the weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix.

“Since its debut in 2023, the event has been phenomenal, quickly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, A-list celebrities and influencers.

“We always believed that Las Vegas would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this expansion, along with the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market.”

Max Verstappen won the first Vegas Grand Prix in 2023, George Russell triumphed in 2024 and the Dutchman returned to the top of the podium last season after a double McLaren disqualification.
