French Open 2026 results: GB’s Henry Patten and Finland’s Harry Heliovara reach Roland Garros final

Patten will become the first British men’s doubles champion at the French Open in the Open era if he wins on Court Philippe Chatrier on Saturday.

Heliovara, who was celebrating his 37th birthday on Thursday, said it had been a “pretty good day”.

“It’s not a bad birthday if you start on the Suzanne-Lenglen court and enjoy playing tennis. It’s what I love most in life outside of family time,” he added.

Patten and Heliovara are chasing a third Grand Slam title together – and their first on clay – after their wins at Wimbledon in 2024 and the Australian Open in 2025.

The pair have already won four ATP Tour titles this season, including their first Masters 1000 title on clay at the Madrid Open last month.

In the mixed doubles final, Italian top seeds Sara Errani and Vavasori successfully defended their French Open title and won their fourth Grand Slam trophy with a 4–6, 6–3 10–4 victory over Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski and American Evan King.
