The name Darwin Nunez is back to occupy Al Hilal Saudi fans once again as rumors mount of his imminent departure from Liverpool after just one season.
Saudi newspaper Al-Midan Sports have quoted reliable journalist David Ornstein as saying that the Uruguayan forward is highly regarded by Andoni Iraola, who took over at the Reds, replacing Dutch coach Arne Sloat.
The Saudi newspaper noted that Liverpool FC are now in internal discussions with the Spanish coach about the possibility of the player returning to the English Premier League in a deal that could be described as shocking.
Nunes has been out of the reckoning for manager Simone Inzaghi of late, especially after Al Hilal signed Karim Benzema on a free transfer from Al Ittihad, reducing the Uruguayan forward’s starting chances.
