Surprisingly, the extra refinement makes the Solterra feel less like a real Subaru, at least to me. Its unique boxer engines aren’t the most refined in the world, but they add character, as do all-wheel drive. Here, the driving experience is anodyne, although acceptable for the daily driver.
There is nothing Subaru feels about these interiors.

I wasn’t trying too hard, but I wasn’t getting too close to how the car worked.

In any case, it usually only takes a false alarm from an EyeSight driver to remind you that, as in the case of the Chevy Blazer / Honda Prologue pair, some automakers still push the limits of the badge.
Although the XT’s extra power allows it to go to 60 mph (97 km/h) in less than five seconds, I’m not sure I needed the extra power on a standard car. Again, I was completely satisfied with the front-wheel drive, single-motor bZ-end of spring in the Washington area does not require many wheels. But if you want a FWD Subaru EV, you only small Uncharted; All Solteras are AWD.
The Solterra now has a NACS port, which replaces last year’s CCS1 socket, and a high-speed DC motor at 150 kW instead of the old 100 kW motor. Subaru says a 10-80 percent charge should take just 30 minutes, and now you can manually charge the battery for faster charging. However, if you pull on a charger with more than 50 percent charge, like I did, you should expect things to last longer.

This IONNA supplement was bare bones – the Sheetz next to it was still being made. But it has native NACS chargers.

This wasn’t a great test of charging time because I started with a half-charged battery and ran it over 80 percent. But it is rude to return the car without a good payment.

Based on the results, the energy is 0.1 kWh more than you would get in a gallon of gas. Of course, it cost more than a gallon of gas and took longer to deliver, but even at an incredible 3.2 miles / kWh, it is enough to travel 108 kilometers.

In terms of price, the Solterra XT can be a wash with the top-spec bZ Limited. The Subaru has more power and less power for a few hundred dollars. And if bZit is a solid driving tool. But now that the brand has an electric don’t-order-it-an-Outback Trailseeker, will any Subaru buyers want the Solterra again? I’m not sure.
