Saudi Arabia international Saud Abdul Hamid has commented on his eventual move to French side Lens after the club announced they have activated the buyout clause in his contract and turned his loan from Italian side Roma into a permanent deal, extending the deal until the summer of 2029.
The Lance had officially announced the Saudi full-back’s continuation in their ranks via a video posted on their official page on the X platform, confirming that the player had signed a new three-year deal, commenting on the deal as “The saga continues”.

After the official announcement, Saud Abdul Hamid expressed his great joy about continuing his career at the French club through a message published on his official pages.

Lance’s decision to activate the purchase clause came after Abdel Hamid’s performance during his loan spell, where he managed to impose himself on the technical staff’s accounts and draw attention with his defensive and offensive play, winning the confidence of the administration, which decided to retain his services permanently.
Saud Abdul Hamid’s continuation in the French league is a new step in his European professional career and also strengthens the presence of Saudi players in the big leagues ahead of upcoming challenges with Lens and the Saudi Arabian national team in the coming years.
