“Al-Nasr” midfielder Croatian Marcelo Brozovic is on the verge of leaving the team in the upcoming summer transfer period, after 3 years spent inside the walls of “Aval Park” stadium.

In the current period, Al-Nasr is working on many pressing issues, especially the extension of Brozovic’s contract, which expires at the end of the 2025-2026 season.In addition to signing a new technical director to replace Portugal’s Jorge Jesus.

Saudi journalist Saad Al-Subaie confirmed that Al-Nasr’s management set a very important criterion for signing a replacement for Jesus, which is that he must have the same style and methodology followed by the Portuguese coach to avoid a radical change affecting the level of the team.

Meanwhile, the administration is making last-ditch attempts to extend Brozovic’s contract, but the Croatian midfielder is currently refusing to do so, making it highly likely that he will leave the ranks.

Al-Subaieh explained through his personal account on the “X” website that Al-Nasr’s management has already started looking into the affairs of several players to compensate for Brozovic’s departure, in consultation with the new coach.

Al-Nasr will work to finance Brozo’s replacement deal from the club’s budget, as will local players, with the budget allocated by the Roshen League’s recruitment committee limited to the contract of born players.

Notably, Brozovic joined Al-Nasr in the summer of 2023 from Inter Milan and helped them win the Saudi Roshen League last season after a seven-year absence.
