A Saudi media outlet has demanded that Egypt’s entire national team be disbanded after the 2026 World Cup finals in America, Canada and Mexico, in one case.

The Egyptian team is participating in the World Cup for the fourth time in its historyIt is in Group 7 along with Belgium, New Zealand and Iran.

Abdul Rahman Al-Amer, a Saudi journalist and host of the “Durina Ghir” program, considered that the Egyptian team is in the weakest group compared to the Arab teams and demanded its complete dissolution if it does not participate in the next rounds.

“Egypt’s national team is the weakest group in which the Arab team plays, and it should qualify for the next round, if not first, then second.”

He added: “If he doesn’t finish second and qualify, then the entire Egyptian team should be disbanded and the strategic planning of this team should be redesigned.”

This was confirmed by the Saudi journalist Hamad Al-Suweihi, who considered that the Egyptian team is stronger than the Iranian and New Zealand teams, and that there is no other stronger team in the group, except the Belgian team.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian national team has never passed the group stage of the World Cup during its last three participations, which it seeks to surpass in the next match.
