This app enables Google TV to be used

I’m stressed every time I turn on my TV. A major tech company is to blame.

Google TVAndroid-based TV set-top box, it’s great in other ways: It works fine on my TV, there are apps available for every streaming service, and the interface is very flexible. It will already be installed the new from Sony, Hisense, and TCL, among others.

The standard home screen, however, is confusing. There is a list of programs for you, if you look, but most of the views are taken by video ads and shows that another company is paying to promote.

So I was happy when I found it Image of AT4Kanother Google TV home screen. Inspired by the Apple TV interface, this launcher shows me only shows of the games I’m using, and I can turn them off if I want. It’s free with no ads; there is a premium version that you can unlock for $5 and get some good stuff, but that’s optional, and the free version works just fine.

To start, simply install this app on Google Play. You can do so in your browser on whatever device you are reading this article on. Or, if you prefer, you can launch Google Play on your smart TV and search for “AT4K.” Either way the launcher will open and the installation will start on your TV.

Everything about AT4K is great. At the top of the screen, in the right corner, is a clock alongside buttons for app settings, system settings, and connectivity settings. Below is a list of boxes containing thumbnails of the images you are currently viewing. Below is a list of five things. Keep looking and you’ll find everything else installed on your device, along with pictures of your various inputs.

I recommend moving the marketing services and input tools you use to the top of the list, so you can find them quickly. To do this, select the program you want to move, then press and hold the enter button. You will see a small menu.

The Move App option allows you to use the buttons on the remote to move an app to the desired location. Repeat this process until the top row contains all your favorite services.
