A press release today, Wednesday, revealed a major crisis facing Spain ahead of its World Cup match with Uruguay, which kicks off in a few days in America, Canada and Mexico.
The tournament is being held in the background of many crises, which have caused concern for the participating teams of the upcoming World Cup.
The Mundo Deportivo newspaper reports that the match between Uruguay and Spain, which will take place next June 27, is under observation due to high temperatures that will affect the players’ performance and slow down the pace of the game, according to a study by the Climate Central Foundation.
The tournament faces the threat of high temperatures, which will directly affect the matches of the World Cup.
According to a study by Climate Central, 97 of the 104 scheduled matches will be held in adverse weather conditions, which could slow down the pace of the matches.

The most affected by this issue is the Uruguay-Spain match to be held in Mexico, which takes place in the third round of the group stage, so it is decisive for the fate of the other two teams in the group (Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia).
“Climate change significantly increases the probability of heat, which will negatively affect the results of the Uruguay-Spain match in Guadalajara on June 26,” the analysis states.
