The German coach repeats his achievement in the Spanish league
The Spanish league voted Hansi Flick as the best coach in La Liga for the second time in a row, after he won it last season.
The award for the 2025-2026 La Liga season comes after an exceptional season in which Flick led Barcelona to the league title with 94 points, eight points clear of Real Madrid, as the team won 31 of 38 matches and lost just six times all season.
In the final vote, Flick beat Jose Bordalas, who guided Getafe back into Europe via the Conference League, and Marcelino García Torral, who led Villarreal to third place and qualified for the Champions League. But Barcelona’s numbers decided the race early on, as the team scored 95 goals as the league’s most potent attack, and achieved the total by winning 19 games at home.
This came as Real Madrid had a season to forget under Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa, where they left without winning a league, whether domestic or continental.

The appreciation was not limited to the award, as the Barcelona board extended their coach’s contract with the option of a further year until 2028, in a clear message that the project continues under the German coach.
