Did Barcelona make a low bid for the England winger?
Spanish reports report that English winger Marcus Rashford has denied the justification of what was published in the British press about Barcelona’s low offer to the management of Manchester United in order to obtain his services permanently.
According to Spain’s Mundo Deportivo, people close to Rashford say the player is still unsure of his next destination and that he has yet to be informed of any official move, despite reports of a €15m offer which United rejected.
The paper explained that the Blaugrana have yet to make a formal offer, while they have until June 15, two days before England’s first game against Croatia, to inform Manchester United to activate a buyout clause of around £26m (€30m).
He noted that the Catalan club informed the management of “Manchester United” about its willingness to pay only half of the price, and in return is considering the option of negotiations on the amount or requests for a second loan.
Those close to Rashford, who is currently on loan at Barcelona until June 30, have confirmed his desire to stay after what he described as an enjoyable season at Camp Nou, a position which is in line with a conversation he had with manager Hansi Flick at the end of last season that he could continue in the draft.

The England international, who has scored 14 goals and provided 12 assists this season for Barcelona, wants to decide his future before the start of the World Cup in order to go into the tournament with full focus as his loan from United runs out at the end of the season.
In Manchester, United await a final answer from Barcelona amid frustration over the delayed decision, as the English club are aware of Rashford’s desire to return to Spain but have also received inquiries from Premier League clubs, notably Aston Villa and Tottenham, who are willing to pay the full buy-out clause.
