Peres continues his fiery attack on Riquelme ahead of the election
Real Madrid presidential candidate Florentino Perez marked the day the Royal Club announced its first major signings in preparation for the new season, stressing that his sporting project aims to continue to attract the best players to the club and maintain its winning streak.
Peres said in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Espanyol. “Next Thursday I will announce Real Madrid’s first major signings for next season.”
Some media reports have suggested that Real Madrid have completed deals for Ibrahima Konate out of contract with Liverpool and for Denzel Dumfries by activating the release clause in his contract with Inter Milan.
He added, according to “AS” newspaper. “Everybody knows my athletic plan is to have the best players and keep winning.”
Speaking about the sports aspect, he continued that the announcement of the coach will be made soon, and other names will appear by Sunday.
“Don’t worry. People don’t doubt it, they know me. I have always generated excitement during my twenty-three years as President. Anyone who knows me knows that the best players will be at Real Madrid and that we will win the Champions League.”
He mentioned about the possible contracts of Riquelme and Raul Gonzalez as sports director. “I think it’s good, although I don’t know if he’s spoken to Raoul.
