Aston Villa forward Kirsty Hanson is set to join Tottenham after an impressive season in the Women’s Super League.
The Scotland international finished as the league’s third-highest scorer with 12 goals in 22 matches – only Khadijah Shaw and Alecia Russo scored more.
Villa’s top scorer was named their player of the year and won it WSL Football’s Goal-of-the-Season Award For his strike against West Ham.
In May, BBC Sport has given the news Spurs were chasing Hanson and are now believed to have received a bid from Villa and are set to bring him in this month.
Personal terms are being finalized as Hanson – who has scored five goals in 44 games for Scotland – is set to join Tottenham to provide a further boost to Martin Ho’s squad.
The 28-year-old has a year left on his contract at Villa and it is unknown what fee Tottenham have agreed to sign him for.
He will be reunited with Spurs manager Ho, with whom he worked at former club Manchester United when he was assistant coach.
Tottenham had a strong campaign in 2025–26, finishing fifth in the table in Ho’s first season after joining from SK Brann.
They will be ambitious in the transfer window and have already confirmed the signing of the West Ham forward Shakira Martinez and Dutch defender Kaitlin Dijkstra.
