As preparations for the summer transfer window begin, the future of Italian full-back Andrea Cambiasso enters a new phase of uncertainty, with reports in Italy indicating a strong interest from Chelsea.

According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the London club have begun monitoring the 26-year-old in preparation for a possible move in the summer.

The Blues’ interest comes amid uncertainty over the future of Marc Cucurella, who has been linked with both Manchester City and Barcelona recently, so Chelsea are exploring their options at left-back should the Spaniard leave Stamford Bridge.

Juventus value Cambiasso at around €50m, after signing him from Genoa in the summer of 2022 for just €15.5m.

The player was set to move to Manchester City at the beginning of 2025 in a deal worth €65 million, but negotiations fell through due to some medical complications and an injury the player suffered.

Cambiasso’s contract with the “Old Lady” is extended until June 2029, and recently his name has also been linked with “Barcelona”.

Last season was a remarkable one for the Italian international as he scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists in 47 appearances for Juventus.
