Microsoft is moving its annual Build Development conference from Seattle back to San Francisco with some changes along the way. This year, the event will be held at Fort Mason, a former US military base in the San Francisco Bay Area, instead of downtown Seattle. Microsoft is moving Build to this location to capture San Francisco’s AI buzz and make the event more intimate.
“There are big conferences that are big, and part of it is just the growth of it, and there are big conferences that are small and obvious,” said Kyle Daigle, chief operating officer at GitHub, in an interview. Seaside. “I think we’re trying to be at the center where meeting the people who attend is part of the content of the meetings, the announcements, and the use of the technology.”
