Former star of France. Arsenal winning the Champions League would be a scandal

Former France player Christophe Dugarry has hit out at Arsenal after they lost to PSG in the Champions League final.

He won last Saturday Paris Saint Germainwon their second consecutive Champions League title after beating Arsenal on penalties.

Former French player Christophe Dugarry slammed Arsenal on RM Radio’s Routin programme, saying: “Arsenal will remain the best club never to win the Champions League.”

The former Barcelona player confirms that Arteta’s team offered little. “Their intentions were clear from the beginning. They did absolutely nothing. They never came out to create any danger.”

“We saw distractions and Arsenal were losing time systematically. It was just unbearable, unbearable. And the worst thing for football and its fans is that they suggested to the fans that by creating chances and not having a game, they can win the Champions League.

Dugary says he’s glad the London team lost in the final. “They’re a bunch of losers. They entered the game with great arrogance, and Arteta said: “We will defeat them.”

“I’m really glad Arsenal lost and I hope they start playing real football if they want to win one day. Because this is not Arsenal. This club has history, heritage, style of play. They can’t play like that. You can’t win the Champions League like that. And even if it succeeded, it would be a scandal.

Finally, the former player confirms that they will regret playing the Champions League final like this. “When you play like that and lose, you regret it forever. If they tried to play and lost, they would not regret anything. Now they deeply regret it and deserve it.”
