How to Edit, Combine, and Share PDFs With Free Online Tools

More than 30 years later Adobe discovered, the PDF file – a document format – remains essential for storage, sharing, and printing. It is a file type it can be opened by almost anyone on virtually any mobile or desktop device, while maintaining the formatting, colors, and layout of the original document.

Given the proliferation and popularity of PDF, it’s no surprise that commercial PDF software tools are in high demand. But you don’t have to pay to edit these posts, especially for basic updates.

Many PDF tools are available online that allow you to quickly and easily edit your documents for free (with advanced features and usage limits available for a price). There is no download, no installation, and no payment, and they are great for small changes.

We’ve selected three of the best online PDF editors below, along with three applications you can do with them. Although these sites are established and respected, use the wisdom they share. Be careful using the cloud when transferring files containing sensitive information.

Convert PDFs With TinyWow

TinyWow allows you to edit your PDFs in many ways.

Go to TinyWow in your browser and you’ll see there are many PDF tools to choose from, from converters to compressors. Here we show you how to apply some changes to a document, so click Convert PDF and then choose Upload from PC or Mobile select the file you want to work with.

You’ll find the page manager on the left, zoom controls on the right, and your editing tools on the top. Click Wordsfor example, and you can insert new text at the top of your PDF, using the font, size, and color you want. The editor allows you to print existing documents in PDF for editing.

Choose a Check it out or Appearance tools to annotate your PDF: You can add a highlight to any word in the document, and drop arrows, lines, circles, and rectangles. Every time you create a new item or select an existing item, you’ll see a dialog pop up that allows you to edit, move, and delete the item.

The Picture tool is also useful, helping you to resize an image stored on your device – you get handles on the side of the image by resizing it on the page. When you’re happy with how your edited PDF looks, click it Download it (top right) to save, or Restart it to start again.
