AC Milan faced a shocking setback this summer in their bid to sign German Matthias Jaise, coach of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahly.
Italian Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier last week that Jaisalle is one of the contenders to take charge of Milan following Massimiliano Allegri’s sacking.Especially since the German Ralf Rangnik is the most obvious candidate for the position of the sports director of the Rossoneri.

Italian journalist Vito Angeli, who is close to Milan, wrote on his account of the “X” network:
“There is a clause in Yasla’s contract that stipulates that if the coach or Al-Ahli terminate the contract, each of them must compensate the other side for the entire remaining salary.”

He noted that Mathias Jaise’s contract runs until 2027 and earns a net salary of €12 million per season, and therefore if any club tries to secure his services before the end of the contract, the interested club will have to pay the full cost of the remaining period of the contract, which Milan will not agree to bear.
Angeli explained that according to a reliable source close to Al-Ahly, the Saudi club have no intention of parting ways with their coach, who led them to two consecutive AFC Champions League elite titles, as meetings have taken place between the coach and Al-Raqi to discuss a possible contract extension and plan for the 2029 Club World Cup.
