These are the first Nvidia RTX Spark laptops

Nvidia entered the world of laptop chips with the RTX Spark, and a number of hardware manufacturers already have the hardware to do so. Microsoft, Asus, HP, MSI, Lenovo, and Dell are expected to be launched RTX Spark laptops sometime this fall, and some of the companies involved have shared more information about what we can expect.

The common feature shared by all the upcoming startups is this Nvidia RTX Spark superchip from Armalthough there are several models to come. The flagship model unveiled by Nvidia at Computex includes 20 CPU cores, 6,144 GPU cores, and 128GB of LPDDR5X memory – making it almost the same as a GB10 chip inside. Nvidia’s DGX Spark “personal AI supercomputer.” Other models with as little memory as 16GB will come later, according to Nvidia.

So, aside from the new chipset, here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming RTX Spark laptops:

Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra

Microsoft has released details on its upcoming RTX Spark-powered graphics card Surface Laptop Ultra. We don’t have final specifications or pricing, but we do know that the Surface Laptop will have a 15-inch mini-LED touchscreen with 2,000 nits of HDR brightness. Microsoft says this is “the brightest display we’ve ever shipped,” and that it offers 262 pixels per inch with “the most accurate color accuracy.”

The Surface Laptop Ultra will have ports for HDMI, USB-C, USB-A, an SD card, and a headphone jack, although Microsoft hasn’t specified the speed or quality of these ports. The haptic touchpad is also “the largest we’ve ever put on a Surface,” according to Microsoft. The company also claims that this is the “Most Powerful Laptop Ever Built,” though with no details to back it up, we won’t know until we test it ourselves this year.

What Asus has offered for its upcoming ProArt laptops is one of Nvidia’s joint ventures, although key details such as storage configurations and pricing have yet to be announced. Two models will be launched at the end of this year – ProArt P16 and ProArt P14 – which are focused on serving the needs of professional game designers, with high-quality displays for gaming and more RAM for demanding applications. All laptops feature touch functions, and the dialpad wheel built into the touchpad on current ProArt laptop models is being replaced with a haptic touchpad feature.

MSI Prestige N16 Flip AI Plus

MSI is also coming out with an RTX Spark-powered offering, the Prestige N16 Flip AI Plus, which has a 2-in-1 flip form factor. MSI says it “represents a new generation of thin and light PCs,” though the company hasn’t commented on its weight or size. And, you guessed it – we don’t even know how much it will cost, or what memory and storage it will have. There’s more information about its 16-inch display below, but what we do know is that it supports it MSI Nano Pen: a Microsoft-designed MSI pen that doubles as Copilot’s AI microphone.

Dell, Lenovo, HP and others

If you’ve been paying attention to our Computex coverage, you’ll know that Dell, HP, and Lenovo are also introducing Nvidia Spark devices. Announcements of the new Dell XPS 16, Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n, and HP’s upcoming OmniBook X 14 and Ultra 16 were confirmed to be among the more than 30 Nvidia RTX Spark laptops expected to arrive later this year, but pricing and specification details were not included in those announcements. In Nvidia’s announcement, it said all RTX Spark laptops will have “all-day batteries” and be “as thin as 14mm.”

HP says it will share information “closer to availability,” and it’s possible that other companies will follow suit at a similar time. There are pictures of the devices at least to give us an idea of ​​what will launch this fall. Acer and Gigabyte are also expected to launch their Spark laptops, according to Nvidiaalthough there is no mention of specific models or opening times.
