Coronation euphoria… Did the star of Paris close the door in the face of Real Madrid?

Neves is one of 3 names on Perez’s priority list. Will he leave the European champion?

Paris Saint-Germain star midfielder Joao Neves has hinted at his desire to stay at the French club, disrupting the plans of Real Madrid, who are looking to sign the player in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Spanish journalist Juanma Castaño during his program “El Partizazo” on Radio COPE, Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, considers 3 names to be the priority in the transfer market.

Neves is one of those three names, along with the duo of Alessandro Bastoni, the Inter Milan defender, and Victor Munoz, the Osasuna player who has a Real Madrid buyout clause in his contract.

But Neves, who won the Champions League title with Paris Saint-Germain for the second consecutive season at Arsenal’s expense last night, Saturday, confirmed he is happy with the French side.

After the meeting, Neves said in the statements of the Spanish “Marca” newspaper. “Joining Paris Saint-Germain is the best decision I’ve made in my life. I love everything here.”

“This season was different, more difficult from a physical point of view, and we had to defend our title. We are part of the history of Paris Saint-Germain and everyone here is very happy.”

The 21-year-old young Portuguese, who is going to participate in the 2026 World Cup, has a contract with PSG until 2029.

As for senior Marquinhos, he said: “It’s a different feeling to win the Champions League twice in a row. We have shown from the first day of this season how much we want to achieve this achievement.”

He continued. “The coach told us that winning the championship twice is much more difficult than once. Today we had a complete group and the right mindset and we saw important contributions from Gonzalo Ramos and Beraldo. The atmosphere here was amazing.”
