Paris Saint-Germain players have expressed their joy after a hard-fought victory over Arsenal in Budapest to win the Champions League trophy for the second season in a row.

After a crushing 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in last season’s final, the Parisian side had to resort to penalties this time around to retain the continental crown, successfully settling the showdown from the penalty spot.

Saint-Germain are the second team to win the Champions League title twice in a row under its modern system (since 1992), as the first and only team until now was Real Madrid after winning in 2016 and 2017.

If Saint-Germain manage to win a third consecutive title, it will also equal Real Madrid’s unique feat of winning 3 consecutive games (2016, 2017 and 2018).
