French police have arrested more than 280 people in Paris after violence erupted as thousands took to the streets after Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League victory. the last thing.

Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said seven officers were injured and called the riots “unacceptable”.
Six vehicles and two businesses were damaged.
A group of supporters also disrupted Paris’s windy Boulevard Peripherique, temporarily stopping traffic and setting off fires.

The incident angered the French far right. Three-time presidential candidate Marine Le Pen wrote on X that “only in France does the success of a football club cause riots.”
“Only in France is everyone forced to lock themselves in their homes on the eve of victory to avoid violence,” he said.
Nunez said there is a “strong, very strong system” to prevent violence.
“Our responsibility is to assure everyone that they will have a peaceful and safe celebration,” said a police spokesman.
PSG players will take part on Sunday afternoon on the Champ de Mars in front of the Eiffel Tower in front of an expected crowd of 100,000 before being welcomed by President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace.
