The cheerleaders appear… Holland is at the forefront of those mocking Arsenal’s loss

The Gunners were just around the corner

Arsenal’s defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final was a source of derision for some of their rivals after the London side suffered a painful penalty shoot-out defeat to lose their dream of a first ever continental title.

Arsenal lost the final after the two teams drew 1-1 in regulation time, before PSG won the title 4-3 on penalties after Brazilian defender Gabriel missed the decisive spot-kick.

Tottenham striker Richarlison didn’t wait long to comment on the result as he posted a video of the child laughing on his Instagram account and accompanied it with a sarcastic emoji, clearly alluding to the London rivals’ loss.

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland also caused a stir after he posted a picture of himself smiling with friends shortly after the game, which many fans saw as an indirect message to Gabriel, given the well-known tension between the players following the incident in 2024 when the ball was thrown at the Arsenal defender’s head during the two teams’ clash.

Meanwhile, Tottenham defender Jed Spence took the opportunity to respond to an old Arsenal post mocking him after one of his strikes with Bukayo Sakai, as he reposted the video with emojis that contained a message of revenge after the Gunners lost the title.
