Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, the star of “Paris Saint-Germain”, praised the way his coach Luis Enrique worked after winning the Champions League for the second time in a row.
Paris beat Arsenal in thrilling final that ended in a 1-1 draw after extra timebefore the French team finally solved the confrontation with penalties, 4-3.
Ashraf Hakimi said in the highlighted statements of the BBC after the match. “It’s not easy to win the Champions League twice in a row, but we did it.”
The Moroccan defender added. “I say the same thing every time. The coach is the highest word in the club. We follow him and trust him. From day one, he told us his theory that the team is more important than any player.”
He concluded. “We are really happy that Enrique is with us. We are no longer just a team, but rather a family.”
Notably, Kylian Mbappe was the most popular player at Saint-Germain for many years, but he left for Real Madrid two seasons ago after a dispute with the management over a contract extension, and Paris managed to win the Champions League twice during this time.
Hakimi has been one of Mbappe’s close friends since the Moroccan star moved to the Park of Kings in the summer of 2021.
