Billy Gilmour: Steve Clarke ‘100% worried’ about Scotland midfielder’s injury ahead of World Cup

Scotland head coach Steve Clarke is “100% worried” about Billy Gilmour after the midfielder picked up an injury in the 4-1 friendly against Curacao.

The Napoli player, 24, will have a scan later on Saturday and Clarke said he is “hoping and praying he will be on the plane” when the Scots fly to the United States on Sunday.

Gilmour started at Hampden but was withdrawn after pulling up with a knee problem.

His replacement, Findlay Curtis, scored Scotland’s first-half goals before Laurence Shankland’s double after the break and a Ryan Christie penalty.
