Slott’s first comment on his sacking as Liverpool manager

In a shock decision that rocked Anfield, Liverpool have abruptly ended the career of their Dutch manager Arne Slott.

In his first comment on the decision, the Dutch coach said: “It’s been a great journey with Liverpool and I’m very grateful that we were able to win the league together last season.”

The English club announced in an official statement. “Liverpool Football Club can confirm that Arne Sloat will step down as head coach with immediate effect and that the process of appointing his successor has begun.”

The Dutchman, who takes over in June 2024, has achieved significant achievements in his short tenure as the Reds won their 20th Premier League title in his first season in charge, as well as taking them to the final of the League Cup and the last 16 of the Champions League, the statement said.
