Egypt’s Football Association has put an end to the controversy surrounding the formation of the Egyptian national team’s delegation to the United States for the 2026 World Cup, strongly denying rumors that an additional number of administrators will accompany them outside of official circles.
In an official statement today, Friday, the federation denied reports of 15 additional members of Egypt’s official delegation traveling to the United States of America for the World Cup.
The federation stressed that reports and rumors circulating on social media platforms about the presence of additional persons and administrators “have no basis in reality on the ground”, explaining that the Board of Directors is very keen to limit official representation to the national team’s World Cup delegation.

The federation also announced that the vice-president of the federation, Khaled Al-Dirandali, will lead the team’s delegation to the World Cup, stressing that no additional figures will be allowed to accompany the official delegation.
This announcement comes as the Pharaohs’ delegation prepares to leave for America amid public demands to rationalize costs and fully focus on the technical aspect of the upcoming World Cup.
