Atletico Madrid have continued their taunting of Barcelona amid the latter’s interest in signing Argentine star Julian Alvarez and extensive press coverage of the file.
The capital club said today, Friday, through its official pages on social networks. “We would like to take this opportunity to categorically deny that we have made an offer to FC Barcelona’s sporting director (Deco) to join our scouting team in the Brazilian market.”

Rojiblancos added: “No, Atletico Madrid would never do something like that. However, in recent months we have been going through a campaign of harassment and destruction directed at one of our players (Alvarez);
And Atleti added, referring to Negrera’s case. “But of course it wouldn’t occur to us to have a vice president of referees on our payroll, or to resort to political favoritism to sign players… respect and values.”
Earlier, the Madrid club had published a series of sarcastic posts in which they sarcastically claimed to have made official offers to sign Barcelona trio Lamine Yamal, Rafinha and Pedri in exchange for concert tickets and a bag of pulp.
