A federal judge in the United States has temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s administration of nearly $1.8bn”bag to deal with weapons“Paying victims of what Trump has called government “weapons”.

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema of Eastern Virginia barred the Trump administration from “taking steps” to establish or use the fund while the judge hears legal arguments.

At a congressional hearing earlier this month, Attorney General Todd Blanche would not deny that the gunmen who attacked the police on January 6 could be justified.

About 1,600 people were charged in connection with the riots at the Capitol. More than 1,200 were found guilty and sentenced before Trump granted mass pardons, commuted prison terms, and ordered the dismissal of any pending charges on January 6 last year.
