Trump Mobile’s website says the T1 Phone is ‘made in America’

When Trump’s phone was first announced last June, it was proudly promised to be made in America. Trump Mobile fast he went back saying thatand now they promise that the T1 is “collected” in the US. Except… it didn’t come back anywhere.

Pa The “Phones” page of the Trump Mobile website you can still find errors that claim that the T1 is “America’s top mobile phones for Performance & Privacy,” which was introduced to me by SEO expert Sam Penny. It doesn’t appear on the page itself, but it appears in its meta title – which populates web pages and search results. I have asked Trump Mobile to explain; as you can imagine, I have never heard of it.

“American-made” is special cited by the FTC as a regulated term under Made in USA regulations. To be used in an ad, a product must be “all or part” made in the US, down to its components. We still don’t know where the T1 phone is made, but even Trump Mobile agreed that the components are not from the US.

Otherwise, it’s been a quiet week in the world of Trump Mobile. CNET he has been publishing his phone commentary in partsso check it out if you want an early insight into its performance, including several camera samples and battery life notes. We are still waiting for our calls.

At this time The Guardian he dug a little deeper to last week customer data breach with the help of Jonathan Soma, a programmer and professor at Columbia University. Soma said the data that was dumped included 27,224 entries, but the site created a new entry every time someone reached the end of the payment process, regardless of whether they paid the $100 over the phone or not. Like The Guardian it says, this means that “the actual number of reservations is likely to be much lower.”

Finally, I strength I found a third T1 phone in the wild. The video showing the phone starts playing posted on TikTok and Instagram By Tres Wittum, a Republican running for Congress and Senate in Tennessee, he is losing the Republican primary every time. I have not been able to confirm that Wittum actually bought his T1 Phone, but it seems possible – if true, then first sign that Trump Mobile has actually shipped the phone to the average consumer. I asked Wittum how he got the phone, but I didn’t hear back.
