Ronaldo’s successor loses his World Cup dream

“Chelsea” star Alejandro Garnacho lost the opportunity to appear at the 2026 World Cup after being excluded from the list. Argentina national teamcoach Lionel Scalloni announced.

Jarnacho joined Chelsea last summer for €50m from Manchester United and has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 49 games in his first season with the Blues.

There was a time, not so long ago, when Garnacho seemed to claim the throne of world football.

According to the Sport newspaper, Jarnacho was seen at Manchester United not as an ordinary winger with good ability, but more so because his audacity, dribbling, striking and celebrations, somewhat similar to Cristiano Ronaldo, were reminiscent of the Portuguese star’s beginnings at the club.

This great responsibility did not seem to burden him, because the symbolic successor of Cristiano, coming from Portugal to the Premier League of England, was happy compared to his role model.
