New South Wales completed their first 3-0 clean sweep in the Women’s State of Origin after beating Queensland in the third game.
NSW had already won the annual rugby league match between the two Australian states but won Thursday’s tight final game 12-4.
Women’s Origin became a three-game series in 2024 but both states won 2–1, marking the first whitewash since the format change.
NSW captain Isabelle Kelly eventually scored the first try of the match but Jasmine Peters equalized at half-time at 4-4.
In the second half, confusion between Queensland players meant they gave away a penalty and Jesse Southwell converted a try before Jamie Frassard converted and effectively put the game to bed.

NSW second rower Yasmin Meeks won the Katrina Fanning Medal as the 2026 Player of the Series and Kelly was named man of the match.
“Yas was outstanding in every game, just such a competitor,” NSW head coach John Strange said.
“I coached him at the club a few years ago and he’s a really competitive man. I think if you want to be successful, for me as a coach, you recruit players who have a natural competitive nature who can do anything to win and then you have a very good chance of being successful. He’s certainly got that.”
