Al Jazeera runs you the top 10 things you need to know about the show from European football’s governing body, UEFA.
This year’s final will feature Arsenal in the English Premier League defeated Atletico Madrid in the semifinals, with the French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who defeated Bayern Munich in their last fight.
PSG are the defending champions, having lifted the competition for the first time last season.
The French club beat Inter Milan in the final with a stunning performance 5-0 score which embarrassed the Italian Serie A club at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.
Desire Doue scored twice to cement her place as one of the biggest names in the game, despite being 19 years old.
Achraf Hakimi was also on the scoresheet alongside Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu. Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele surprisingly missed the target despite being one of the winners in the last game.
PSG are the favorites to defend their crown, but Arsenal appear to be one of the rising stars in European football.
The Gunners have never won Europe’s most expensive football trophy but it just ended there waiting for 22 years to promote the Premier League.
Doue and Dembele are still very important to PSG despite the latter being in doubt for the final.
Hakimi is also one of the most popular players in the Parisians’ squad, but he is the biggest worry for this game, having missed both the semifinal legs and the last four Ligue 1 games of the season through injury.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is PSG’s top scorer in all competitions this season, one goal ahead of Dembele, who has 18. Bradley Barcelo has scored 13 times while Doue has 12.
At the back, PSG are led by Brazilian Marquinhos.
Declan Rice is seen as the heart of Arsenal’s team, especially if the England international is operating in the center of the park.
Viktor Gyokeres has grown into a leader in the line, and the Sweden international has bagged 19 goals in his first season for the North Londoners.
Two players who often seem to be affected by the magic for the Gunners, are English players Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze, who have scored 10 times and 7 times respectively.
Like PSG, Arsenal have a Brazilian powerhouse in the form of Gabriel Magalhaes.
The final match is being held at the Puskas Stadium in the capital of Hungary, Budapest.
The stadium – named in honor of the country’s most famous football player, Ferenc Puskas – was rebuilt in 2017, and the construction work was completed to reopen in 2019. It has a capacity of 67,215 spectators.
Arsenal have released their game first league title since 2004 while Arsene Wenger’s “Invincibles” went undefeated the entire season. The campaign went down to the last game where Manchester City’s failure to win at Bournemouth meant the North Londoners could no longer be caught. The Gunners also reached the final of the League Cup, but were defeated by City.
PSG finished six points ahead of Lens in the French league, beating their nearest rivals in the final race to defend the title.
This is their fifth consecutive league title and 12th in 14 games, based on 14 Ligue 1 goals.
The match is being played on Saturday and kicks off at 6pm (17:00 GMT).
